How do I bid on a table? 

The auction, conducted by eBay Charity, opens on September 19th and closes on September 29th.

How will I know which table I'm bidding on?

Can I bid on more than one table?

No, sorry.  You can only bid on and win one table.

If we and some friends win separate tables, can we combine them?

You're welcome to bid on tables near each other, but they won't be combined.

Can we bring our own wine?

This special dinner includes champagne, wine and cocktail pairings.  You're welcome to bring your own wine as an alternative to the the pairings (up to one bottle per guest) and you won't be charged any corkage fee.

Do you have a recommendation for a car service?

For transportation to and from local accommodations, we recommend Falcon Cab.  For longer distances, you can also contact Integrity Chauffeur. Uber is not yet reliable for pick up in our rural area.

What's on the menu?

The menu will be emailed to the winners about one week before the event.  

​

How do you handle dietary restrictions?

We’re able to accommodate most dietary restrictions, including gluten intolerance and vegetarians that are okay with eggs and dairy. At this time we do not offer a vegan menu option.  Also, keep in mind, that our small kitchen is not gluten-free or free of any other potential food allergens such as nuts or shellfish. If you have multiple restrictions or life-threatening allergies, please contact us at (540) 987-5105 or reservations@threeblacksmiths.com before bidding on a table. Also, be sure to specify the dietary restrictions (if any) of everyone in your party when booking your table. Last minute menu changes are extremely difficult and we’d hate for anyone to miss out.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Ugh.  A little snow could make for a magical evening, but if the weather causes roads to be impassable or we lose power, we'll do everything we can to find room for you on another evening so that you can still dine with us and support WCDS.  You can also hold your place for dinner on December 31, 2020 if you'd like.

Why Wakefield Country Day School?

We have a personal connection to WCDS and have seen firsthand the positive impact the school has made on our family and community. With just 200 students from pre-school through 12th grade, WCDS relies on support from the community, school alumni and families to provide the necessary resources to students, faculty salaries and administration costs and what better way to offer a helping hand than with the celebration of a New Year's Eve dinner!
